Visiting Teams

Welcome to Wells and Horrington CC! We play at two grounds just a mile apart from each other, both to the east of Wells city centre.

The rule of thumb is as follows: 1st and 2nd team league matches, as well as Under 10 and Under 16 fixtures are played at Old School Lane (South Horrington), whilst all other fixtures such as 3rd team league games, mid week friendly, women's, Under 12 and Under 14 fixtures are played at Chapel Piece (East Horrington).

If there is any doubt about which ground you are playing at, please either contact the team captain/manager or check the fixture on Play-Cricket to find out at which ground is being used.

Facilities:

Limited car parking is available next to the club house, with alternative public parking along the top of the ground on Gilbert Scott Road. When using either parking facility, please park legally and considerately.

Large changing rooms are provided, complete with separate showers and sanitary facilities built into each room. A changing room is also allocated to any Umpires in attendance.

A bar is also open to players after the game.

Facilities:

Parking is available on site, primarily on the right hand side of the gateway. This is a grass car park, on a slight slope. Please park considerately, and be weary of potentially uneven areas of the parking zone.

Changing rooms are provided on site, as well as sanitary facilities. A kitchen area is provisioned for mid-innings and post game refreshment, although teams are welcome to come to Old School Lane after Saturday League fixtures to use the clubhouse facilities.
